BAFTA’s 2010

La Academia de Artes del Cine y la Televisión Británica o British Academy of Film and Television Arts tiene una ceremonia para cada categoría audiovisual en el Reino Unido. Hay premiación para TV, producción de TV, video juegos, artes paras los niños y películas. Esta última, es el simil de los Oscar en Hollywood, creados en 1947 con el nombre de British Academy Film Awards pero son más reconocidos como los BAFTA’s (sin embargo de esa forma es fácil confundirlos con los demás premios de La Academia).

Su estandarte es una máscara teatral creada por el escultor estadounidense Mitzi Cunliffe en 1955 por encargo del gremio de productores de televisión.

Sería mentira si dijera que no se le hace seguimiento a estos premios en los medios pero extrañamente y aunque son premios bastante comerciales un par de titulares en los periódicos más renombrados fue suficiente. Ni hablar de IMDb que tan sólo listó los ganadores. Por mi lado, pensé que eran mucho después, no antesala de los Oscar. Este año fueron celebrados el pasado 21 de febrero, día en que le estaba poniendo más atención a la Berlinale.

A continuación voy a poner el resumen de los ganadores de este evento (y como no le hice el seguimiento debido también dejo los nominados), que si me lo preguntan es posible que sean mucho más acordes a nuestros gustos y expectativas que los Golden Globes o los mismos Oscar.
